sartoria melbourne

Sartoria was previously a successful dressmaking ,bridal and evening wear business  for over 2 decades , wich was created by the current owner’s parents … Adrianna took over the place around a year ago  and transformed it  into a beautiful light cafe/eatery keeping the machinery from the dressmaking days , it gives it a different vibe than any other cafe , Adrianna and her team are very passionate about the quality of their items, coming up with creative ideas , equally in the food or drinks department

i visited sartoria on a week day and it was the perfect place to chill on the terrace , along with really tasty food and drinks , i thoroughly enjoyed my experience and can’t wait to be back …

i tasted 3 different dishes … and they were all full of flavours , and nicely presented !

the traffic lights

if you want a taste of all the different healthy drinks , then the traffic lights is what you need …. you’ll get a smaller version of a matcha latte , turmeric latte , and my favourite wich was the hot chocolate beetroot latte ! made with freshly cold pressed beetroot juice , it was very tasty without being over powering 👍

smashed avo

delicious smashed avo , with wafer olives wich was quite unusual but so tasty , tomatoes , goats feta cheese and crispy bread … was a very good serving size … all the flavours were balanced and seasoning on point as well , only down point for me is the crispy bread i much rather a normal toast be its a personal preference .

The eggs mistress

house made , waffled potato ash brown with poached eggs , with pea puree , goats curd and beetroot … this dish looks beautiful and most important TASTE beautiful , hash brown is crispy and flavourful offering contrast with the soft poached eggs , very nice brunch dish .

Lamb salad

this was such a tasty dish surely not your usual boring salad … the 12 hours slow cooked lamb , with quinoa and vegetables in a mint yoghurt dressing , is the absolute perfection of a Lunch , its fresh its healthy ! the lamb was actually melting in my mouth , I highly recommend this dish .

thanks to the sartoria team for the great food and service , looking forward to my next visit !
